Kanwer is the founder and CEO of Ascend Consulting. At Ascend, Kanwer utilizes his unique consulting style to bring out the best in people and in organizations. It is his personal mission to make a difference in the lives of others by empowering them to grow professionally and emotionally through first coming to terms with their authentic selves.

He has more than two decades of experience in managing the human psyche in leading companies in Pakistan and abroad. In these two decades, he has excelled in shaping up ‘people’ strategies to tackle unique and dynamic challenges. Prior to founding Ascend Development, Kanwer has headed Human Resources for Engro Foods & Engro Fertilizer and previously he was with Unilever Singapore in the capacity of Talent Director for Asian Geography.

He is passionate about helping the HR profession and fraternity grow in Pakistan. He founded HR Leadership Journeys and HR Boot Camps for the HR professionals in Pakistan and in the region. He is VP of Pakistan Society of HR Management and a Treasurer of Pakistan Society of Training and Development.
