Kim Kita serves as the founding Director of Colorado State University’s international educational center in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Kim leads and oversees strategic planning, finance, program development, site operations, and community engagement, providing cultural exchange and experiential learning opportunities to hundreds of students each year.
Her training in authentic leadership and systems thinking crystalize many years of varied work experiences and formal education, including two master’s degrees (Finance and Gerontology). Kim was a 2013-2016 fellow in the Academy for Systemic Change. Kim uses awareness based systems thinking and participatory methods to bring together various points of view, to build bridges for people to learn from one another and about themselves, and to use this collective wisdom to inform business decisions. Kim approaches work and life as a spiritual journey of self-discovery that unfolds by collaborating in co-creative processes, acting through uncertainty, valuing the people on our shared journey, and always aiming for positive impact.
